£615 donated to 2015 Give Care Not Cards Appeal

During Christmas 2015 we participated in the Katharine House Hospice Give Care Not Cards Appeal.   The appeal runs each year and encourages people to donate to the Hospice, the money they would ordinarily spend on purchasing cards.

Both our Stafford and Rugeley office displayed the Care Not Cards Appeal posters, which soon became adorned with festive greetings! Today, we received confirmation that the Pickering & Butters team contributed a total of £615 to the local Hospice during the appeal.

Katharine House Hospice have confirmed that; whilst money is still coming in, the appeal, which is sponsored by Pickering & Butters, has so far raised £5,400.75!

Congratulations to Katharine House Hospice who provide such invaluable support to the local community and to all those who donated to such a worthy cause.

“Katharine House Hospice provides a range of services offering help, care and support for people with advanced life-limiting conditions across mid-Staffordshire. These conditions include Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, End Stage Renal failure and Cancer. All services are free of charge. The Hospice is situated in the grounds of Stafford General Hospital but is independent from the hospital and relies heavily on donations for the almost £2.9 million needed to run the hospice each year.”  www.khhospice.org.uk
