Climbing The Law Firm Ladder

Amy Bedford, 29, has recently been promoted after clocking up six years with the Greengate Street based solicitors.

Amy joined the firm in 2007 as a trainee, after graduating from Bristol University with an LLB Honours Degree. She then went on to gain her solicitor’s qualification from Staffordshire University before joining Pickering and Butters.

Very quickly, Amy made a big impression with the firm’s existing partners as well as clients and, having gained significant experience in the conveyancing and litigation sectors, Amy now specialises in family law.

Commenting, she says: “When I was given the opportunity to progress the family law department, we worked hard, as a team, to ensure our clients were given an outstanding service from the outset, with their their best interests at the forefront of everything we do.

"Through recommendations, offering a fixed one-off fee and being genuinely sensitive to our clients’ circumstances, we have very quickly gained a reputation for offering a premium service.”

Will Johnson, managing partner at Pickering and Butters comments: “Amy has demonstrated a high level of skill for developing different aspects of the business. She is a great asset to us and we are confident that as partner she will help to shape the firm’s future direction.”

Pickering and Butters was founded over a century ago, making it one of Staffordshire’s longest-established legal firms. As well as Stafford, it has an office in Rugeley; together, they provide a full range of legal services. The company is Lexcel accredited – awarded in recognition of its excellent client care and consistent high-quality service and practice management.
