My career highlight so far…
Completing a multi-million pound farm purchase in what, at the time, seemed an impossible timescale. There were many long nights and grey hairs as a result! The client got the result they wanted which is the main thing… the grey hairs remain and have multiplied since.
In my spare time I…
Follow Derby County; I am a huge fan, having held a season ticket for over 15 years. I also attend the odd away game and have probably visited every town and city (and a lot of pubs) at some point following them.
I love walking and will be found plodding somewhere in the countryside every Sunday. My friends and I go for a walking (and real ale!) holiday every year. We have walked Scotland Coast to Coast, the Staffordshire Way, Cumbria Way, Cotswold Way and West Highland Way so far.
I am the former Chair and a current member of Stafford and District Round Table, which keeps any other spare time I might have occupied.
My fondest memory…
Long summer days as a child, especially Saturdays. I would go off to Derby to watch the football. After I would come home and play football until you could no longer see the ball!
