On the 27th September 2018 our Rugeley office opened its doors to local residents and invited them in for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake! The event was to support this year’s Macmillan’s “world’s biggest coffee morning”.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. All over the UK annual coffee mornings are held to encourage donations to Macmillan.
As part of the event, Pickering and Butters staff went head to head in a "Bake Off Challenge" to win the "Star Baker Badge!" After each of the many entries had been judged by Partner Jan Boulter, the winning cake was announced as Janine Illingworth’s "chocolate chip and mint aero muffins".
Our Stafford office also raised donations by holdings its own cake sale.
Congratulations to Janine and thank you to all staff who donated cakes to the event. Thank you also to everyone who visited on the day helping raise a grand total of £322.23.
