Key agriculture development announced

Following a period of sustained growth in our rural and farming department, we are delighted to announce that senior solicitor and partner Daniel Pegg is joining agricultural specialist Sean Spinetto in our well-established team.

This key department serves the farming and landowner community throughout Staffordshire and neighbouring areas. The latest development comes in response to the high level of local demand for expert legal counsel on matters ranging from land transactions and tenancy agreements to compulsory purchase issues.

Announcing the move, our managing partner Jan Boulter said: “Our agricultural department has seen demand rising consistently over recent times. In addition to our traditional, core business such as land transactions, development work and business, and succession planning, we have seen a sharp increase in enquiries relating to renewable energy and compulsory purchase, most notably concerning HS2.

“Sean Spinetto and his team continue to attract new business through land agents, financial advisors and – most significantly – from personal recommendation by farmers and landowners, which says a great deal about the service we provide.

“To manage our current and incoming agricultural portfolio over the coming years we have asked Dan Pegg, an experienced partner with a first-class track record, to join the department from April.”

Dan Pegg added: “It’s an exciting time to be part of the agricultural team and I’m delighted to be joining Sean and colleagues to manage existing workloads and contribute to further growth. This area of the business continues to thrive, which is a tribute to the outstanding work done over the years for local farmers, landowners and the rural community generally.”
