At Pickering & Butters, we believe that true community support goes beyond legal expertise - it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives. Which is why for 30 years, we’ve been honoured to stand alongside Katharine House Hospice, contributing over £80,000 to help ensure patients and families receive the care and support they need when life is at its hardest.
Since 1995, our journey with Katharine House Hospice has been one of partnership, compassion, and dedication. From small steps and our very first donation following a craft fayre at the County Showground, we’ve expanded our involvement over the years to include:
Sponsorship of ‘Care not Cards’ Initiative – Encouraging donations over traditional Christmas greetings
Business Buddy Members Since 2005 – Strengthening corporate support for the Hospice
Event Sponsorships – Including the annual Charity Golf Day, Ladies Lunch, and Annual Ball
Championing Employee Fundraisers – Supporting our colleagues’ personal challenges such as running the London Marathon
Pro Bono Support – Several Pickering & Butters Partners have served as Trustees
Through these initiatives, our firm’s ethos of care, commitment, and community has remained at the heart of everything we do. Just as Katharine House Hospice provides specialist services free of charge to those with incurable illnesses, Pickering & Butters takes pride in offering dedicated, expert legal support to families navigating life's most significant moments.
Speaking of the longevity and impact of Pickering & Butters support, Andrea Pugh from Katharine House Hospice says:
“Katharine House Hospice is extremely grateful for all of the wonderful support that has been given, helping to ensure we can support more families with free, compassionate care. We look forward to continuing our partnership long into the future.”
