Amy is a solicitor within our Business Team, based in Stafford.

Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and joined P&B in January 2024, following a move from Lincolnshire.

Expertise

Amy specialises in commercial property matters, and advises a broad range of clients, including landlords, tenants, investors, developers, owner-managed companies, agricultural businesses and healthcare professionals.

Her work includes property acquisitions and disposals, leases, refinancing transactions, development work and general property portfolio management.

Though her work is commercial in nature, Amy is always conscious that there are people behind every business and transaction. She therefore focuses on providing clear, practical advice that helps clients understand their options, manage risk and achieve their objectives without unnecessary complexity. She particularly enjoys identifying unusual or unexpected issues early, and helping clients find practical solutions.

My career highlight so far…

There are several! I recently completed a challenging multi-million pound refinance of a business centre. A lot of work was involved, and letting the client know that we had completed was very satisfying.

Earlier in my career as a solicitor, I won a special award to recognise my commitment to achieving results, having covered a complicated, time-pressured matter for a colleague and completing three transactions in one day!

On a day to day basis, acting for clients who are starting new businesses in local area is a highlight. Seeing them open their doors in premises I have helped them acquire is especially rewarding.  

My happiest memory so far…

A recent trip to Georgia with my husband, where we tasted wine in the Kakheti region, hiked to the Gergeti Trinity Church and made our own khinkali (a type of Georgian dumpling).
